Started out like any normal summer Sunday.

And then that happened.

I’m in the most bummed mood ever right now.  Whoever picks out the faulty knee gets $1 (in pennies).  After my exam and x-rays today, there’s about a 1% chance it’s not actually torn.  MRI will tell for sure…but this is not looking bueno.

It’s a damn good thing I have a cuddly labrador and good friends to console me.  I have a feeling the next 6 months are not going to be very fun.

Wahhhhh :( I’m so sorry. If it’s any consolation, my co-worker tore her ACL a few months ago — during an especially dangerous episode of booty popping to Beyonce! Also, if you need a good surgeon in Philly, holla at me. My dad and bro BOTH tore their ACL a few years ago (at separate times). Wack city. Hoping for the best for you chica!

Hahaha omg. I am surprised I haven’t blown out either of my knees booty popping. I was actually thinking today I’m pissed I wont be able to bust moves for awhile!! :( My surgeon is ‘dr. nick’ – haven’t met him yet but his associate was awesome and he’s supposed to be amazing! I got skillz on my side :)

Oh jeez I am so sorry to hear about this! :( My bf tore his ACL (and blew his meniscus) in college and I was with him through the whole surgery and recovery process. I’ll also be sending get well vibes your way!

GIIIIRL……that is crummy :( I’m so sorry. How is the pain?
The therapist I worked with tore hers. She was able to smooth out the “flap” without surgery; she pedaled on a stationary bike every day for ~20 minutes at no resistance. Painful but worth is. I’ll be interested to hear what your doctors recommend.
Was it playing soccer? Pretty common.

Will know more deets after MRI results…I will keep ya posted. It would be amazing to have no surgery but it’s not lookin’ that way…the waiting game is the hardest – I just want to start getting better NOW (so impatient haha)
